View, delete, or edit Mappings

Use the extended controls on the mappings table to modify, remove, or view an existing mapping. You can choose to view the mappings on a specific VUE server or choose to view all the mappings by choosing All Server from the drop-down list.
  1. Click Mappings on the navigation bar, select the mapping type (UDP, PID, PassThru, or Auto Mapping), and locate the mapping you want to modify, remove, or view. You may need to change the server selected to view the desired mapping.
  2. Click the ellipsis menu () on the far right of the desired mapping row.
    • Stats: Displays the following mapping statistics; Input Rate, Data Rate, CC counts, buffer reset counts. Input Rate is the total rate of input stream including NULL packets. Data Rate is total rate of all non-NULL packets (actual video/audio/data rate).
      • Current – The current MPEG rate in Mbps.
      • Average – The average MPEG rate in Mbps over the last 15 minutes.
      • Peak – The peak MPEG rate in Mbps over the last 15 minutes.
    • Modify: to change the mapping values. All changes to a mapping except for the mapping name will result in the mapping being restarted. This will impact video for 1 – 5 seconds while mapping is being restarted.
    • Delete: to remove the mapping.
    • Input PSI: shows the parsed Input PSI (PATs and PMTs) for the mapping if available.
    • Restart: disables mapping and then enables it.
    Within the Stats window:
    • Current CC Errors: Current number of input stream Continuity Count (CC) errors in last 5 seconds.
    • Total CC Errors – Total number of input stream CC errors since mapping was started.
    • Buffer Reset Count – Total count of internal buffer resets for this mapping since the mapping was started.
    • Current RTP Sequence Errors – Current number of RTP packets sequence error in last 5 seconds.
    • Total RTP Sequence Errors – Total number of RTP packets sequence error since the input transport stream was mapped to an OTS.
View Mapping details
  1. To view additional details of a transport stream click on the caret (>) icon on that desired row of the mapping. This provides information about pipe assigned to mapping, mapping name, input TS state, Mapping State, creation date of mapping, and last status update time.
    The Mapping function screen displays Enabled, Type, Output TS, Destination IP, Input Multicast, Input Source IP, Input interface, Mappings, Input In Use, Status, and Input CC fault. For more information about input states, UDP, PID, and PassThru input states.

    To view the UDP mappings that are mapped using the auto mapping feature, click Mappings > Auto Mappings. On the Auto Mappings screen, click on the clickable number under the Mappings column. This displays all the information about the auto mapped UDP mappings such as if they are enabled, input multicast, input source, mapping status, input CC fault, current RTP sequence number errors, and total RTP sequence number errors.

  2. Use the fields and controls of the dialog window to change or delete the mapping. Click the Submit or Cancel button to process the operation.
