The following fields are provided in the VUE Syslog Config screen.

- Description
- ID
- A unique ID between whose value range from 1 to 4 on each VUE.1
- VUE System
- VUE managed by the VTM on which this configuration is being created.1
- Name
- A unique string which consist of only following characters a–z, A–Z, 0–9, _ (underscore), - (hyphen). The string can consist up to 100 characters.
- Is Enabled
- Enables or Disables the sending of syslog events to the Syslog Receiver. The default is Enabled.
- Destination IP
- Unicast IP (IPV4 or IPV6) address of the Syslog Receiver.1
- Destination Port
- Port used to send syslog events to receiver. The default 514.1
- Destination Protocol
- Protocol used to send syslog events to receiver. Supported protocols are:TCP and UDP. The default protocol is TCP. 1
