The ServAssure L2TP Receiver is an optional ServAssure Poller node that is designated as a dedicated PNM node for IP transport using static pseudo-wire L2TP. It listens for and processes L2TP PNM results—including CMTS Upstream Triggered Spectrum Capture (UTSC) streams—from RPDs and RMDs configured by a CMTS. The ServAssure L2TP Receiver node is a standalone Docker container that can be placed either in the same network as the CMTS, or in a different network. Refer to Docker container packages for container installation details.
Virtual machine requirements
Like other ServAssure Poller servers, the ServAssure L2TP Receiver requires a significant amount of
RAM to cache data in memory. This server has the following minimum requirements:
- 4 vCPU Cores
- 8GB RAM
- One of the supported operating systems. For specific versions, refer to Operating system requirements.
- Additional 40GB disk volume mounted as /opt/arris for CommScope-specific applications and logs
