Cassandra and Insight Views are both configured to ensure high availability and fault tolerance by replicating data across different sites. In the event of a site failure, the remaining site can seamlessly continue operations with the most up-to-date data.

Cassandra uses its built-in multidatacenter functionality to asynchronously replicate data between Sites A and B. Each site is a part of a separate datacenter within the same Cassandra cluster. Similarly, Insight Views nodes in Site A and Site B work as part of different clusters to replicate data efficiently, minimizing latency and ensuring that both sites are synchronized.

The diagram below represents the system in a failover scenario where Site A is down and system has been failed over to Site B. The components highlighted in green and yellow represent the subsystems active during a failover scenario. Please also note that in the failover state, there are ServAssure Poller in Site B polling the DOCSIS network in region associated with Site A.
