Customize Map Views

To save map view changes:
  • Select Configuration > Maps > Save Map
To rearrange how the icons are displayed in map view by name:
  • Select Configuration > Maps > Arrange > By Name

    Icons are sorted alphanumerically (devices not named in the /etc/hosts file are sorted by IP address)

If a device is added after a By Name is performed, it will not be in alphanumeric order. By Name must be performed again to rearrange the name order.

To rearrange how the icons display in map view by status:
  • Select Configuration > Maps > Arrange > By Stauts

    Icons are sorted from critical status downward. If a device status changes after a By Status is performed, it will be out of order. By Status must be performed again to rearrange the proper status order.

  • You can also use your mouse to drag and drop icons in the active window to re-arrange how they are displayed in map view.
To automatically restore the layout of the icons in the map view:
  • Select Configuration > Maps > Arrange > Relayout

    A device icon that is moved from its original position, leaving a hole in the map view layout, is automatically restored to the position when Relayout Map is selected.

For expedient selection to move or delete a large number of icons:
  • Select Configuration > Maps > Select All and manually deselect the icons that are not included in the move or delete.
