This is an optional process if user accounts with limited write access are desired. This procedure is not necessary if you only require Administrator and Read-only user roles.

Before beginning this procedure, the following things must be completed or available:
  • A Domain Manager 2.x server meeting VTM requirements is installed and running.
  • VTM is installed on the Domain Manager.
  • The credentials for the admin account for Keycloak on the Domain Manager are known.
If necessary, log into KeyCloak:
  1. In a web browser, go to https://[DOMAIN_MANAGER_IP]/auth/ where [DOMAIN_MANAGER_IP] is the IP address of Domain Manager.

    The KeyCloak UI appears.

  2. Select Administrative Console.
  3. Sign in with the following information:
    Username or email
    admin
    Password
    Administrative password returned earlier in this procedure.
Add new User Role(s):
  1. If necessary, change the realm to Halo by using the Realm pull-down in the top-left corner.
  2. Select Roles from the left-hand panel.
  3. Click Add Role.
  4. Enter the Role Name in the Role Name field.
    Additional User Roles for VTM are:
    • "Limited Write"
  5. If desired, add a description in the Description field.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Repeat steps 4 through 9 for each additional Role.
The added Role(s) are now available to assigned to Users.
