  1. Select Templates > Channels from the navigation bar.
  2. Click the (Menu) button.
    The menu options appear.
  3. Click Add.
  4. Enter a unique name for this template.
  5. Select the template type, which corresponds to the type of service group to which this template can be applied:
    • Broadcast: For building Broadcast Service Group channels.
    • Narrowcast: For building Narrowcast Service Group channels.
    • Downstream OOB: For building Downstream OOB Service Group channels.
    • Upstream OOB: For building Upstream OOB Service Group channels.
  6. Select one of the following modulations:
    • QAM_256: 256-QAM SCTE standard (default)
      NOTE: This modulation is available for Broadcast and Narrowcast template types.
    • QAM_64: 62-QAM SCTE standard
      NOTE: This modulation is available for Broadcast and Narrowcast template types.
    • QPSK: 4 Phase Shift Keying SCTE standard
      NOTE: This modulation is available for Downstream OOB and Upstream OOB template types.
  7. Select an interlever depth value.
  8. Enter a power adjust level on the channel.
  9. Set the symbol rate override for the channel.
  10. Select the Annex mode for the channel. This value can be modified while creating service groups.
  11. Check RF Mute to mute the RF signals on this channel.
  12. Check Spectrum Inversion to enable the RF signal to be inverted on this channel.
  13. Click Save.

The template is added to VTM.
