To upload the device configuration file:
- From the SDM Menu Bar, select Configuration > Tools > Add/Configure Devices. The Add/Configure Devices screen is displayed:

- Type the name of the device configuration file in the CSV File Name field or click Browse to navigate to the file.
- Click Upload. A device configuration report displays:

- Review the report and verify the changes. The header row indicates the type of change pending for each device:
Parameter
Description Add
Adding new parameter value(s), new parameter(s), or new device. This option will only appear if new devices are being added.
Update
Modifying existing parameter values.
Errors
Incorrect configuration from a previous device configuration procedure. Any out-of-limit warnings are also displayed in the actual parameter box.
Note: Any devices reporting an error will not be processed.
Errors require the CSV file to be revised. This can be done by opening the file in Excel or in a text editor like Notepad.
- (Optional) When devices are modified (not added), they can be backed-up. To back up a CSV file that contains modified devices, click Enable and then type the <target backup directory> in the Directory field or use the directory provided.NOTE: If Backup Enable is not selected, you will not be able to rollback (undo) your changes.
- Click Execute to upload the new information to the SDM database. A report is displayed indicating the status of the upload by device.
- Click Refresh to update the information.

Parameter
Description Device Name
The name or IP address of the device.
Start Time/ End Time
The time the device configuration began and ended.
Status
Started: Configuration initiated.
Pending: Configuration in progress.
Done: Configuration completed successfully.
Failed: Configuration did not complete due to errors. A brief description of the error is provided.
Reboot Required
If Yes, the device must be rebooted for the changes to take effect.
NOTE: To undo your changes, click Rollback. See Undo Add/Configure Devices for more information. - Reboot any devices that require rebooting, as indicated in the Reboot Required column.
