To get an overview of the worst alarms on the monitored network or within a particular region, use the Top Alarms table in the right pane of the Global view. Proactive Manager is required to see Proactive top alarms and Outage Manager is required to see Outage top alarms. To view only a limited region of the network, refer to the topic Filter top alarms by region in Related information.
The Top Alarms table shows up to 100 Verified Outage alarms and 100 Verified Proactive alarms that are likely to have the most impact on the monitored network. Outage alarms are listed before Proactive alarms because Outage alarms are considered more urgent. Each alarm type is considered first by severity and then by alarm size. The size is based on the number of service locations affected.
From the Top Alarms table, you can prioritize alarms, troubleshoot alarms, add comments about alarms, and hide alarms that are lower priority.
