The Tap Coefficients graph on the PreEQ tab displays signal correction information for the 24 equalization taps present in most modern modems. Equalization taps help compensate for delayed transmission data by receiving adjusted energy transmissions from the CMTS to correct for reflected, or echo, transmissions.
