You can see historical data for a particular time period, by choosing a date and time in the Timeline.

Timeline markers show the highest outage or proactive alarm at scan time. You can see historical statistics of the fiber node at each collected scan time via the fiber node timeline. Colored markers indicate the presence of either outage or proactive alarms and the severity of the alarm; see Marker states in Related information.

NOTE: If alarms overlap, the highest severity alarm is displayed.

The Timeline is located at the bottom of the screen and applies to all views. However, Historical View has a timeline with additional controls and slightly different functionality. See Graph timeline in Related information. The Timeline allows you to move through time and look at data based on time scans. You can move backward and forward through any time period for which time scans exist. The data in all views is shown at the selected date and time and includes a separate scan line for Outage and Proactive scans.

To open the Timeline
  • Click Show Timeline at the bottom of the screen.

The Timeline opens to the latest scan.

To view data at a different date or time
  • Do one of these:
    • Click the date and time that you want to view.

The Time Indicator moves to the time that you select.

    • Drag the Time Indicator to the date and time you want to view.

ServAssure NXT shows the scan that is closest to and earlier than the selected date and time.

To see the time and date for a specific location on the Timeline
  • Place your cursor in the location.

A label appears above the line.

    The Timeline contains the following:

    • Date and Time and Alarm Type: Shows the date and time and the alarm type (Proactive or Outage) that you are viewing. It appears toward the upper right of the Timeline. If you move the Time Indicator, the timestamp changes.

The timestamp in the Timeline reflects the time that you are viewing, and the timestamp in the breadcrumbs reflects the time of the scan that you are viewing. Therefore, the two timestamps might be different.

For example, if you move the Time Indicator to 10:10 AM, the timestamp in the Timeline says 10:10 AM. However, if the scan closest to and earlier than the Time Indicator occurred at 10:00 AM, the breadcrumbs at the top of the screen will say 10:00 AM.

    • Latest Scan: Click to move to the present and select the latest available scan.
    • Horizontal Line: Indicates the existence of data. This line is made up of alarm severity icons that become visible as you zoom in.
    • Zoom: Click the magnifying glasses to zoom in or out.
    • Alarm Severity Icons: Represents a time scan with an associated alarm severity. Individual icons become visible when you zoom in.
    • Scan Now: Click to perform an On Demand scan. See Obtain data from different points in time in Related information.
NOTE: The graph, timeline, alarms, and the latest scan-time sections in Alarm Central UI automatically refresh following a scan and display the scan results, instead of requiring a manual intervention to display the latest results.
