The SkyVision user interface view color controls are enhanced to display all system errors and support a wide range of available colors. This allows users to define unique colors for each error. Selected colors are displayed in the following view screens:
  • Schedule View
  • Big Picture View
  • High Level Schedule View
  • Event details
  • Color Options
  • Big Picture Color Legend

While a full color palette is available, there are dozens of error codes and grouping like errors may be useful to prevent the Schedule View from being difficult to read.

The Color Options icon on the toolbar opens the Color Options configuration screen as shown below:

The Color Options enables you to assign unique colors to the error conditions displayed in the Schedule View,Operations Queue view, High Level Schedule view and Big Picture view.

In addition to assigning background color, the text for the error display can also be changed, as shown below:

This enables the user to define a contrasting text color against a chosen background color.

In the Big Picture Color Legend, the original subset of errors and their default display colors still occupy the top of the list as show below:

In the above illustration, the Big Picture color legend is shown. The scroll bar on the right enables you to see the expanded list of errors.
NOTE: When a system is first installed or upgraded to SkyVision 5.0, the expanded errors default to red.

In the above illustration, a Big Picture view for a single channel shows that unknown failures have resulted for all spots on this channel, and that the error code is Unknown Failure, which resulted in the time slots being flagged brown.

In the above illustration, clicking one of the time slots displays the Event Details screen in which the details are flagged brown for Unknown Failure.

The illustrated Schedule View shows a wide range of colors and multiple errors. Note the instances of Unknown Failure in brown at the bottom of the screen.
