To obtain data about the current state of the network, users assigned to a group with the On-Demand Scans permission can initiate an On Demand poll or scan of network devices. Depending on your settings, you may be able to initiate only Proactive scans or both Proactive and Outage scans. For more information about time scans, see Related information.

To initiate an On Demand scan
  1. In the Timeline, at the upper right, click Scan Now.
  2. In the On Demand Scan box, select the type of scan you would like to initiate.

    You can select Proactive, Outage, or both.

    NOTE: If only one type of alarm available, this box does not appear, and the scan begins when you click Scan Now.

    The Scan link indicates that ServAssure NXT is scanning.

    The Scan link indicates when the scan is complete. After the scan completes, the timeline moves to the most recently completed poll. Additionally, Alarm Central views are refreshed to display the data for the latest poll. Breadcrumbs at the top of the screen indicate the time at which the scan was created.

    NOTE: If the scan cannot complete, an error is shown indicating the scan could not be retrieved.
