Mappings are configured in VUE to process a transport stream. They consist of two essential groups of values, input parameters and output parameters. The input parameters provide the origin of the transport stream and output parameters define their destination.

You can configure four types of mapping on VUE; each are used in different situations. VTM lets you create UDP Mappings and PassThru Mappings on VUE during Service Group creation. These mapping types and how they are configured in VTM are detailed in the UDP mappings and Pass Thru mappings sections.
