When setting up the ServAssure Collection Platform system, network name resolution services must be configured. Many applications rely on connectivity with other systems and applications, and proper network naming and IP Addressing are critical to the overall system connectivity.
If Domain Name Services (DNS) are used, ensure the following:
- All ServAssure Collection Platform servers are properly identified within your DNS system by their hostname and IP address.
- All DNS services are properly configured on all ServAssure Collection Platform servers, and all DNS servers are reachable.
If DNS is not used, ensure that all ServAssure Collection Platform servers are properly identified within the /etc/hosts file on all servers, and name resolution on the servers is configured to use this file by default.
