The Trap Receiver service is configured with access to a privileged port. If Java is upgraded, or the system default is changed, the access is revoked, and you must run an Ansible upgrade of the Trap Receiver to restore access.

Alternately, you can restore access by running an Ansible tools playbook and restarting the Trap Receiver, as described in the following steps:

  1. On your Ansible host, navigate to the nxt-ansible-2.14.x.x directory.
  2. Run the following tools playbook to reconfigure the privileged port access:
    traprx-set-java-permissions.yml
  3. Restart the Trap Receiver.
