Parameter Status remains blue even though the device has been re-booted. | Make sure that BOOTP response is enabled or conditionally enabled. Verify the network is up. This can be determined based on the device status in the device property field. The communication should indicate Established. Verify the BOOT ROM version of the device. Configure the router to allow BOOTP across routers. If the affected device is an IRT 1000/2000, the problem may be caused by high volume broadcast traffic on the IRT 1000/2000's network. |
The device config sync indicates out-of-sync, but no parameters are red to indicate there is a discrepancy. | From the device Properties window Administration tab, select Synchronize > Configuration and then click Refresh to refresh the device's configuration synchronization status. If problem persists, run the Device Parameter Report to more easily identify the discrepant parameter. Select device value or SDM value for the discrepant parameters. |
Alarm Sync status indicates "in progress" and never completes. | The device may be timing out to status requests. Check the network. The firmware may have been mapped during discovery to a new version that differs from what was on the device. The alarm state should sync when the firmware revision has been resolved. |
In the device Properties screen, Communication indicates establish, but Fault and Configuration indicate unknown. | For the SDM to manage the configuration of a device, the trap receiver must be directed to the SDM. This can be configured from the device's Properties window Administration tab or by selecting Configuration > Global Parameters. |
