A new generic device plug-in firmware type for the support of generic devices follows the existing device plug-in paradigm in SDM release 5.1 and later.
When the Generic type is selected as the device type, the contents of the Device Properties page are populated to support this type. The Device Properties page contains the following tabs when supporting generic devices:
- Identity Tab
- Configuration and Status Tab
- Performance Tab
- Fault Tab
- Administration Tab
