Command Syntax

configure cable dsg client-id-list <0-4294967295> [index <0-4294967295>] [type {broadcast | mac-address | ca-system-id | application-id} [value <VALUE>]] [vsp-list <0-4294967295>] [no]

Supplemental Information

The parameters for value change depending upon the type. This command may be entered multiple times to add multiple client IDs in the same list.

To remove a client ID list or entry from the client ID list, use the no option.

Parameters

<0-4294967295>

Unsigned integer which is the Client ID List Identifier.

index <0-4294967295>

Index for the given client identifier list. Valid numbers are any unsigned integer values.

type

The type of client ID. Valid values are broadcast, mac-address, ca-system-id, and application-id.

type broadcast value <VALUE>

If type is set to broadcast, then the following values have special meaning:

1 - Contains SCTE-65 [SCTE-65] — Delivery as defined in Annex D.

2 - Contains SCTE-18 [SCTE-18] — Delivery as defined in Annex D.

3 - Contains OCAP Object Carousel [OC-SP-OCAP1.0].

4 - Contains OpenCable Common Download Carousel [OC-SP-CD-IF].

For all other type values, this is the DSG client type.

type mac-address value <H.H.H>

The cable modem MAC address for the DSG client list.

type ca-system-id value <0-65535> or <0x0-0xFFFF>

The Conditional Access system identifier for the DSG client list, in decimal or hexadecimal.

type application-id value <0-65535>

The application identifier for the DSG client list.

vsp-list <0-4294967295>

The vendor-specific parameters (VSP) list identifier.
