After an alarm is raised, you can decide what action to take. You might want to watch the alarm for additional information, you might conclude that the alarm is part of a larger problem, or you might want to deal with the alarm at some later time. In any of these cases, you might want to acknowledge that the alarm has been examined and does not require immediate attention or additional review.
You might want to hide the alarm so that it no longer appears in the UI, distracting attention from other more important alarms. Note that acknowledged alarms are hidden by default.
To acknowledge or remove acknowledgment from an alarm, your user profile must be assigned to a group that contains the Alarm Acknowledgment permission.
