Add an Upstream OOB service group

Before adding an Upstream OOB service group to the VTM, the VARPD configuration needs to be defined on the VUE.
- Select Service Groups from the navigation bar.
- Click the
(Menu) button.The menu options appear. - Click Add.The Add Service Group window is displayed.
- Enter a name for the service group in the Name field.
- Select Upstream OOB from the Type pull-down.
- Optional: Enter an AdZone.AdZones are generally pre-defined and apply to a geographical area to which particular ad distributions apply.
- Optional: Enter a Location.
- Select a Destination IP for this service group from the
pull-down.The VARPD Source ID is auto-filled for the Destination IP.
- Enter a VARPD RF Port ID for this service group.
- Enter a VARPD Demod ID for this service group.
- Select a Channel Template from the dialog.
- Click Next.The Upstream OOB Channel Config screen opens.
- If a Frequency template is available, you can apply it by selecting it in the Frequency Template pull-down.
- Click
to add new channel details.Enter the following details:
- Field
- Description
- Frequency (KHz)
- Frequency assigned to this channel.
- Channel Template
- Select a channel template for the frequency.
- Destination IP
- IP address of upstream destination for the service group to which this channel is assigned..
- VARPD Source ID
- Virtual ARPD Source ID used by the service group to which this channel is assigned.
- VARPD Demod ID
- Virtual ARPD Demodulator ID used by the service group to which this channel is assigned.
- VARPD RF Port
- Virtual ARPD RF Port used by the service group to which this channel is assigned.
To remove a channel, click
in the row of the
channel. - Click Next.Continue to Complete RxD configuration.
