The Channels tab provides detailed
information on raw data and distribution data.
Modems table — Each row
represents a single modem + channel pairing, or a modem + channel + IUC triplet. This
information is associated with the raw data displayed on the graphs. You can also jump
to Analyze Modem View, Analyze Network View, High Rate Polling, and Modem Sessions from
the MAC Address link. From a Channel link, you can jump to the MD-CM-SG that this modem
is part of.
CMTS table — Each row
represents a CMTS channel and is associated with the distribution data displayed on the
graphs. From a Channel link, you can
jump to the MD-CM-SG that this modem is part of.
Controls include:
Gather Selected —
Click to group the selected (purple) MAC address/frequency pairs or channels at the
top of the table. This button is useful to move all selected items into view while
you look at other MAC addresses/frequency pairs or channels in the table.
Only Show Purple
(Selected) — Select this box to see only the items that are
specially selected.
NOTE: If you change the items that are selected in the views, this check box defaults
to an unselected state.
The Channels tab columns are:
Row Number — The row
number of the table.
MAC Address — Each
MAC address is listed per frequency. MAC addresses associated with more than one
frequency are listed more than once. This only applies to the Modems table.
Frequency (MHz) —
Each frequency associated with a MAC address. A MAC address can be associated with
more than one frequency.
Channel Name —
Channel name for each frequency.
Useful when a frequency is operating on more than one channel. This column is
hidden by default. See Display and hide columns.
IUC/Profile — The
interval usage code for a modem.
Key Color — The color
of the key reflects the color of the line in the graph.
Blue — All
lines in the graph are blue, because they are selected in other views.
Purple —
Lines selected in the graph are purple.
Red — When
you place your cursor over a row in the frequencies table, the key turns
red. The corresponding line in the graph also turns red.
Strumming or selecting raw or distribution
data on graphs causes either the corresponding Modem + Channel + IUC entry to turn
purple or the corresponding rows in the Channels table to turn purple.
