General controls on the Capture tab include:
- Breadcrumbs
- Display information such as
the fiber node, device, and channel names. Click the Info link to
display detailed channel metadata information including:
- Fiber Node Name
- CMTS Name
- Channel
- Mode (if applicable)
- Frequency Range
- Width
- Configured Power
- Search Channel, Search History
- See Search channel.
- Open in...
- Opens in Alarm Central or Analyze Network View.
- Zoom Control
- Zoom in on a section of the graph by dragging the mouse. Click Zoom Out to restore the graph to its original size.
- Latest
- Shows or hides the latest sample series, displayed in black.
- Peak Hold
- The maximum power observed at a specific frequency is retained. Peak hold displays as green on the graph.
- Average
- Displays a weighted moving
average instead of the latest data sample. Average displays as blue on the
graph.NOTE: Average and Latest lines can be displayed simultaneously.
- Markers
- Markers are reference points that can help verify amplitude and frequency points on the graph. Up to 4 markers can be set up. See Set markers for more information.
- Continue analysis
- You can use the Continue Analysis option in the right pane to extend the capture time. Refer to Extending analysis time for details.
- General Information Panel
- Displays general information about a spectrum capture, marker location, and the amplitude at that marker location.
- Chevron
- Shows or hides the capture panel controls.
