You can import multiple service catalog entries to VTM using a CSV file. This enables you to import and export key information such as channel source identifiers, channel names, and source IP information as a flat file from legacy systems. The format of the CSV file must be as follows:

serviceCatalogNetworkElementName,networkElementName,adzone,location,sourceId,sourceName, sourceType,sourceIp,sourceMulticastIp,sourceUdpPort,secondarySourceIP, secondarySourceMulticastIp,secondarySourceUdpPort,inputProgramNumber,outputProgramNumber,inputPidNumber,outputPidNumber,pidType

  • serviceCatalogNetworkElementName: is the Service Catalog to which the Service Catalog Entry is to be assigned.
  • networkElementName: is the unique numeric ID of the Service Catalog Entry, generated by VTM. This is blank when creating or modifying Service Catalog Entries. It is populated upon Service Catalog Entry export, and can be used in assigning Service Catalog Entries to transport streams in Service Group CSV file management.
