Create a new filter instance for pre/user defined filter definitions

- Select Performance > Configure Eth Capture. The Ethernet Capture Configuration page displays.

The second table in the window displays information on Filter Sets.

- Click the New Filter Set button (above the table, on the
left). The Add/Modify Filter window displays.

- Enter a name in the Filter Name field.
- Select an Interface from the Interface menu.
- Select an option button from the Destination options; PM Statistics to store the packet statistics in the SDM database, and PCAP File to store the packet statistics in a file, or Both to store at both places.
- Select Ethernet User-Defined Filtering to modify a predefined filter, or to create a user-defined filter from the Filter Criteria drop-down list.
- Select any entry (except Custom
Filter) from the Filter Criteria drop-down list.
The filter criteria fields are populated; their content is based on the selection made in the Filter Criteria drop-down list.
- Enter the desired values in the filter criteria entry boxes.
- Click Save to add the new filter instance and close the Add/Modify Filter window. See, External Ethernet Polls for information on loading Ethernet Polls from poll libraries.
