The order in which the rows of data are entered in the Bootp Vendor Tags table is not significant.
The first two rows are populated, by default, with the subnet mask and gateway address tag/value pairs for a generic device.
Macros may also be entered when specifying tag values. The supported macros are as follows:
$ipAddress
$subnetMask
$gateway
The values of these macros are identical to their respective values displayed on the Administration tab.
Upon deleting table row entries, both the tag and value fields must be cleared out before you can tab or click to another row.
A default type value of Select_Type is displayed for empty table rows (that is, where no tag or value is specified). When a table row is cleared out, then the Type column displays Select_Type.
Each table row is validated when the user moves from the current table row to another one. Validation includes:
- Ensuring all three columns contain valid data (that is, tag value, type selected and value data).
- Ensuring the entered value data corresponds to the type specified (for example, if the type MAC is selected, the value data will be in the xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx format).
