You can use the Historical tab in Analyze Modem View to view data usage of a single cable modem and compare that usage with all sibling modems across the MAC domain Cable Modem Service Group (MD-CM-SG).

Navigate to Historical>Parameters>CM, and drag and drop one or both of the following parameters:
  • CM Data Usage
  • CM Sibling Data Usage

For the single cable modem, a bar graph representing the upstream and downstream data usage is displayed. This graph shows the total data transmitted. For the sibling data usage graph, the upstream and downstream data usage for every modem in the MD-CM-SG is graphed, enabling you to compare the data usage of this cable modem to its peers. The current cable modem is identified on the sibling graph by its MAC address on the x-axis. It is the only modem labeled.

The data usage graphs are different from all other historical graphs in that the x-axis is not a period of time. You cannot zoom and strum these graphs. However, if you zoom a different graph, the data usage graphs adjust the values on the y-axis to represent the consumption during the specified time. The same adjustment is made if you change the time using the time selector.
