- The Status Poller is active (Ping [ICMP] status poll only).
- Configuration synchronization status is always Unknown, and unavailable, since there is no SNMP communication between the SDM and a generic device.
- Communication status reflects the status of the ICMP ping poll.
- Alarm synchronization status is always Unknown, and unavailable; since there is no SNMP communication, the SDM will not be able to synchronize with a generic device in terms of alarms.
- Alarm/Fault status reflects the current alarm status for the generic device. Generic devices can have alarms associated with them (for example, BootP-related alarms, communication alarms, and so on).
- The Last Start Time field is blank, since generic devices are assumed to be non-SNMP capable.
- The Last BootP Request Received field is set to the time the last BootP request was received.
- The Last Boot Response Sent field is set to the time the SDM responded to the bootp request.
