NOTE: Both "Site A" and "Site B" ServAssure NXT must be
deployed and configured with
multidatacenter
enabled.
This section describes how to use Ansible to enable ServAssure NXT Cassandra data nodes for multidatacenter functionality in both Site A (the primary Site) and Site B (the secondary, or failover, site).
NOTE:
- The procedure to configure Cassandra multidatacenter is performed only once and is not a part of procedures that are used in an event a failover to Site B is required.
- Once the tool described in this section is run, Cassandra in Site A will start streaming data to Site B to replicate all data from Site A to Site B. This is a one-time operation.
- By default, Cassandra limits the
outbound streaming throughput from any one Cassandra node to 200 Mb/s. This limit can be
adjusted using the Cassandra nodetool utility with
setstreamthroughput.
