The SDM allows you to modify tasks for multiple devices, including:

  • Setting process BOOTP requests
  • Requesting reboots
  • Setting trap receiver addresses

You can select multiple devices based on groups or device types, or you can select all the devices recorded in the SDM.

To manage tasks for multiple devices:

  1. Click Configuration > Global Parameters. The Update Global Parameters window is displayed:
  2. Select the Device Group Device Type from the drop-down lists in the Selection Criteria panel.
  3. In the Global Parameters panel, click the checkbox(es) next to the parameter(s) you wish to modify for the selected device group or device types.

    Description

    Set Process BOOTP Request

    Click Unconditional for the SDM to send a response back every time a BOOTP request is received.

    Click Conditional for the SDM to send a response back only if changes are present in the BOOTP request.

    Click Disable to disable BOOTP request processing.

    Request Reboot Operation

    Click Reboot Only or Force Download.

    Set Trap Receiver Address

    Click SDM (to view traps on the SDM) or 0.0.0.0.

  4. Click Apply to save your changes, or click Cancel to close the Global Parameters window without saving your changes.
