SDM supports LDAPv3 (Lightweight Directory Access protocol) for SDM Client user authentication. User accounts validated via LDAP have the same access levels supported by the local administrator.

NOTE:
  • SDM supports LDAP authentication using SSL, simple authentication is not supported.
  • If the LDAP Server uses an SSL certificate, not issued by a Certifying Authority, then the LDAP Server public certificate must be installed on the SDM Server prior to using this feature. Please refer to the SDM Installation Guide for instructions on certificate installation.
  • It is necessary to authorize the "SDM Enhanced Capabilities" and “LDAP Support” entitlements to enable this feature.

To enable the feature, select Security > LDAP Configuration.
