This verification is only applicable if you are using the HAProxy software. If you have configured a hardware load balancer verify its status according to your own test procedures.

All other ServAssure NXT applications must be installed and running for this verification to pass.
NOTE: If you plan to use HAProxy with the Trap Receiver, verify that optional port 8183 is open. Refer to Global port matrix and Trap Receiver-specific variables.

Do not proceed with these checks if you have not completed the full ServAssure NXT installation.

Check ProcedureSuccess Criteria
Login to the server running HAProxy.

Use the service haproxy status command to verify HAProxy configuration and status.

Output from this command should show the HAProxy process as ...is running.

See the example below for an example of the expected output.

Using a web browser:

Connect to the HAProxy Web Administration Interface.

Verify that front end and back end pools are configured and processes are listening.

Replace <hostname> with the IP Address or hostname of the HAProxy server.

URL: (http://haproxy_hostname:25002/haproxy?stats)

Default Login will be the following, unless you changed it: admin/admin

The Front-ends (alarmcentralEP, IngestEP, and solr) should be visible.

The status for all nodes should be green indicating that the process is running and HAProxy is forwarding requests to these servers/services. See the example below for a sample HAProxy UI.
