Edit a PID Template

This procedure assumes there is at least one PID Template configured in the VTM.

  1. Select Service Catalogs from the navigation bar.
  2. Select the PID Templates tab.
  3. Select the PID Template to be edited.
  4. Click the (Menu) button.
    The menu options appear.
  5. Click Edit.

    The Edit PID Template window appears.

  6. To add a new PID Input/Output pair:
    1. Click the to add a new PID entry to the template.
    2. Specify a PID Type from the pull-down.
    3. Enter the Input PID in the Input PID field.
    4. Enter the Output PID(s) in the Output PID field.
  7. To delete a PID Input/Output pair, click the on the row of the PIDs to be deleted.
  8. To modify a PID Input/Output pair:
    1. Select the PIDs row to be modified.
    2. Update the fields as necessary.

  9. Click Update.

The PID Template is updated. Modifications to PID templates that are assigned to AutoMap Service Catalog Entries are automatically propagated to the transport streams that the AutoMap Service Catalog Entry are assigned to in VTM as well as to the corresponding transport streams configured on the VUE.
