Add a network and optionally start discovery

To add a network to the Discovery Management window:
- Access the Discovery Management window with: .Configuration > Discover Devices.
- Click Add to invoke the Network Parameters window.

- Type the <name> in the Network Name field. The network name does not have to be added to the /etc/hosts file. If a name is not typed in this field, the network IP address is used to identify the network.
- Type the <network IP address> in the Network Address field.
- Select a <network mask> from the Network Mask dropdown list.A single specified range of devices can be targeted for the discovery or ranges of devices can be excluded from the discovery.
To discover a range of devices in the network:
- Enable Specify IP Address Range.
- Type the Starting IP Address and Ending IP Address to specify the discovery range.

To exclude a range of devices from the discovery:
- Click Add in the Exclusions panel.
- Click in the first line item and overwrite the zeros to specify the Start IP and End IP addresses of the excluded range.
- Click Add again in the Exclusions panel to exclude another range of devices from the discovery.
- Click in the second row and overwrite the zeros to specify the Start IP and End IP addresses of the excluded range.
- Repeat steps 10 and 11 for each device range to be excluded from the discovery.
- Click OK. The Discovery pop-up is displayed.
- Click Yes to start the discovery now or click No to start the discovery later.
On the Discovery Management window, the network (all devices, all devices less exclusions, or targeted range of devices) appears as a network row in the tabular panel. The Status of the newly added network is YET_TO_BEGIN.
NOTE: Network rows can be sorted, as determined by the column title (Network Address, Start IP, End IP, and so on) that is clicked.
