A broadcast service group consists of linear digital broadcast video channels corresponding to an advertising zone or a channel lineup with local or regional PEG channels. They typically span more than one port on a Downstream Line Card (DLC). Depending on the scope of intended distribution, this could cover a National, Adzone, or a Local footprint. However, it is normally larger in scope than the typical Narrowcast Service Group in either number of channels or number or RxDs served.
