To identify a location to begin troubleshooting a proactive problem, you can start by turning on inspection points. Use the Alarms table in Alarms view and either the Map view or Logical view.

To turn on inspection points in Map or Logical view
  1. Select Proactive in the toolbar above the Alarms table.
  2. In the Alarms table, select the alarm that you want to view.

  3. In the Map or Logical view, select Additional Options > Show Inspection Points.
    NOTE: Map and Logical views have independent overlays. Overlay selections made in one view will not be displayed in the other view.

    The following is an inspection point for a Proactive alarm in Logical view.

    When turned on, inspection points appear in all overlays (Outage, Proactive, In-Home, Status, Highest Threshold) and no overlay (None). Numbered blue inspection points show where to look first to troubleshoot the problem.
