All servers or virtual machines require x86_64 Linux-based operating system.

Important:CommScope strongly recommends that the disk allocated for the operating system should be mounted at root (/) and should not be further partitioned. If further partitioning is required, contact your CommScope Customer Support Representative to verify the partition map prior to implementation.

Red Hat Compatible Kernel (RHCK) kernel

NOTE:
  • All third-party OS required packages are installed during the initial node configuration using Ansible.
  • Access to OS update/software repositories is required on all nodes, as many third-party packages are also required by other package installations.
  • If direct access to OS update/software repositories is not allowed, then a local repository must be created, or a proxy must be set up to allow access to packages and updates from an authorized repository.
