To display the details for an event, right-click the target <event>, and then click Open or double-click the <event> in the Network Events window. There are two types of events in the SDM:
- Internal, system events generated by WebNMS
- Events generated by traps

The fields are:

Source | The device to which the event belongs. |
Device Type | The device type of the device to which the event belongs. |
Trap Value 1 Trap Value 2 Trap Value 3 | If the event was generated by a device trap, additional raw trap information is displayed in these fields. |

| Trap Description | Description of the trap that generated the event. |
If an event is generated as the result of an SNMP trap and the Extended Event feature is enabled (see Enabling Extended Event) when the trap occurred, then the Details button will be enabled. Click Details to display the Trap Details window. An example of the Trap Details window for a system event is:

The fields include:

Trap Version | The SNMP trap type will be either SNMP v1 or SNMP v2c. |
| Severity | Matches the value in the Event Details window. |
Date/Time | The event date and time. Matches the value in the Event Details window. |
Source | The device to which the event belongs. Matches the value in the Event Details window. |
Enterprise | This contains a value only for SNMP v1 traps. It identifies the type of managed object generating the SNMP v1 trap. |
Generic Type | This contains a value only for SNMP v1 traps. It indicates one of a number of generic SNMP v1 trap types; for example, 0 indicates a cold Start. |
Specific Type | This contains a value only for SNMP v1 traps. It indicates one of a number of specific SNMP v1 trap codes. |
Variable Bindings | A scrollable table containing the varbind OID/Type/Value data contained in the trap. Both SNMP v1 and v2c traps can have variable bindings. |
