The High Rate Polling window enables you to view status, control the polling session, and select the KPIs you want to graph. During a High Rate Polling session, data for every KPI is collected, whether it is graphed or not. Adding a graph plots the collected data and then updates the graph with the results of each new poll.
NOTE: FEC, utilization, and bitrate KPIs require two polls before data can be graphed.

You can:

  • See information regarding the polled modem.
  • See the Collection Status for the cable modem and CMTS. Collection status values are:
    StatusDescription
    SUCCESSAll KPIs were polled
PARTIALSome, but not all KPIs were polled
FAILUREThe cable modem or CMTS could not be polled
    No data is returned
  • See the time remaining in the polling session and adjust if desired, up to a maximum of 60 minutes.
  • Pause and resume the polling.
  • Stop the polling.
NOTE: After you have stopped the polling (by clicking Stop Session), clicking the play button begins a new session, and all previously collected data is discarded.
  • Select graphs to display and manipulate.
    • Zoom, strum, and filter.
NOTE: Polling does not pause when you zoom your graph. Polling continues in the background even when your graph is zoomed in on a particular time period.
    • Export data to a CSV file.
    • Customize the graph attributes in the display tab.
NOTE: All customizations are shared between all High Rate Polling sessions on the next refresh of the displayed graphs.
