Import syslog configuration

You can import or export syslog configuration using JSON file. It allows you to import pre-configured syslog configuration and/or export configuration to a file. The Import button enables you to import syslog configuration using a JSON file.

Before you begin, make sure you have the JSON file(s) with all the required configuration data saved in the VUE server on which you are working.

  1. Login to Element Manager, https://<VPS #2_IP_address>:5557.
  2. Click System on the left navigation pane. The System Settings screen is displayed.
  3. Click Import. A new dialog displays. This dialog allows you to import System Global configuration and syslog configuration.
  4. Click on the box Click to select Syslog configuration file or drop a file here to import the syslog JSON file(s). Browse to the location on your system where you have saved the JSON file(s). You can also drag and drop the required JSON file(s).
  5. Click Submit to send data to the VUE system. Import dialog closes automatically once the submit operation is complete. If not click Close to close the Import dialog.
