For example, if a Service Location is adjacent to an alarm but is not part of the alarm, you can select the Service Location and view its modem MAC address in the Cable Modems view, along with the MAC addresses for the modems that are involved in the alarm.

The following example assumes that a Proactive alarm is selected in the Alarms table and that Logical view is open with Proactive and Show Inspection Points selected.

To add a Service Location to an alarm
  1. Select an alarm in Alarms view.

    The alarm appears in Logical view as shown in this picture.

  2. In the Cable Modems view, click Gather Selected .

    The MAC addresses for the modems that are part of the alarm move to the top of the table.

  3. In Logical view, select additional Service Locations by holding down the Shift key and clicking the Service Locations.

  4. In the Cable Modems view, click Gather Selected again.

    The MAC addresses for the additional Service Locations are added to the selected MAC addresses at the top of the table and they are highlighted purple.
