Manually configure syslog alarms

- Login to Element Manager, https://<VPS #2_IP_address>:5557.
- Click System > Syslog Configuration.
- Click
under the Syslog Configuration. This displays Add Syslog Configuration
dialog. - Enter the necessary details:
Parameter Description ID Enter unique id whose value range from 1 to 4. Modification of this attribute is not permitted once the syslog entry is created; thus, a syslog entry must be deleted and recreated with the new values. Name Enter name string which consist of only following characters a–z, A–Z, 0–9, _ (underscore), - (hyphen). The string can consist up to 100 characters. Modification of this parameter is allowed even after the syslog configuration. Enable Syslog Click the checkbox to enable each syslog entry for forwarding syslog events/notifications. The default value is true. Destination IP Enter unicast destination output IP which can be IPV4 or IPV6 address. String length can be up to 45 characters. The destination IP address should be represented in dotted decimal format for IPv4 addresses and in 8 groups of four hexadecimal digits separated by colons for IPv6 addresses where IPv6 addresses can be collapsed. Modification of this attribute is not permitted once the syslog entry is created; thus, a syslog entry must be deleted and recreated with the new values. Destination Port (Range: 1 65535)
Enter destination output port number. The default port is 514. Modification of this attribute is not permitted once the syslog entry is created; thus, a syslog entry must be deleted and recreated with the new values. Destination Protocol Choose destination output protocol. Supported protocols are:TCP and UDP. The default protocol is TCP. Modification of this attribute is not permitted once the syslog entry is created; thus, a syslog entry must be deleted and recreated with the new values. - Click Submit to send data to the VUE system. If not click Cancel to close the dialog.
