Transport Stream Redundancy can be enabled or disabled for each Transport Stream. This redundancy helps ensure an Output Transport Stream has input when the primary fails.

When enabled, a Secondary Input Source is specified. In the event the Primary Input Source becomes "unhealthy", the Transport Stream will fail over to the Secondary Input Source automatically.

  1. Select Service Catalogs from the navigation bar.
  2. Select the Transport Stream Redundancy from the Service Catalogs sub-menu.
  3. Check (to enable) or uncheck (to disable):
    OptionProcess
Enable or disable all TSRsCheck or uncheck the Enable All checkbox.
Enable or disable individual TSRsCheck or uncheck the Enable check box of the desired Transport Stream Redundancy entry row.
NOTE: When enabling all TSRs, any currently enabled TSRs remain enabled. Similarly, when disabling all TSRs, any currently disabled TSRs remain disabled.

When enabling the Transport Stream Redundancy, Secondary input values need to be specified.

  4. Confirm the enable or disable.

If the Transport Stream Redundancy was enabled, fail overs will occur once more once the Primary input is determined to be unhealthy. If the Transport Stream Redundancy was disabled, unhealthy Primary inputs may result in a loss of video.
