To improve performance in Google Chrome, use the following procedure to run in Incognito Mode, disable extensions, and clear the browser cache.

To troubleshoot performance in Chrome
  1. Start Chrome in Incognito Mode. Incognito Mode automatically disables your extensions.

From the menu at the upper right of the Chrome browser, select New Incognito Window.

  2. If running in Incognito Mode solves the performance issues, disable extensions one at a time to see whether one is the cause.
    1. From the menu at the upper right of the Chrome browser, select Settings.
    2. Select More tools > Extensions.
    3. Disable each extension by sliding the blue button to the OFF position. Continue doing this until you find the cause of the performance issue.
NOTE: Ad Block must be disabled or User and Admin Help will not display.
  3. If disabling extensions does not solve the issue, clear the browser cache.

Depending on your version of Chrome, do one of these:

    • Click Settings > Advanced > Privacy and Security > Clear browsing data.
    • Click Settings > More tools > Clear browsing data.
