Start discovery from Discovery Management Window

  1. Access the Discovery Management window by selecting: Configuration > Discover Devices.
  2. Click to select a row. (SHIFT + left-click for multiple contiguous selections or use CTRL + left-click for additional non-contiguous selections).
  3. Click Start Discovery. The status changes from YET_TO_BEGIN to IN_PROGRESS.


  4. Click Network Events in the View List tree to monitor discovery errors. The Active Window displays:
    • line item errors that occur during the discovery, and
    • activity for the entire system, not just the discovery
    NOTE: Clicking the <network> in the View List tree under Networks (or viewing the network map in the Active Window) allows you to monitor the discovery for a specific network. Each device appears in the Active Window as it is added.
  5. Click Refresh in the Discovery Management window. Verify that the status is now FINISHED.
