The legend appears in both Topology views and shows the colors, shapes, and symbols that appear on the map.
NOTE: Status Unknown means that the modem has never been reachable; a modem in this state is considered offline for purposes of an Outage threshold. In-Home Issues Unknown means that insufficient information is available to calculate a likelihood.
Alarm Central superimposes colors, shapes, and symbols onto service locations to indicate:
- Alarms: Indicates alarm severity. Alarms that are not selected are shown with muted colors.
- Miscellaneous: Includes items such as selection status, icons, inspection points, and downstream indicators.
- Status (Outage alarms): Indicates whether the service location exceeds the threshold for number of offline modems.
- Spectrum Analyzer: Indicates whether a modem supports spectrum analysis and whether it is active or paused.
- In-Home Issues: Indicates whether the service location exceeds the threshold for In-Home Issues.
To open the legend
- Select Action > Show Legend, at the upper right of the screen.
