You can view, add, edit, or delete RTSP/RPC using VEDS through the SDV screen. Use the extended controls on the SDV page to view, add, modify, or remove an existing transport stream mappings for RPC or RTSP using VEDS.
View VEDS status
Click SDV on the left
navigation pane and click the Status under the VEDS
section.

| Server | Name of the VEDS server. |
| Total Sessions | The unique identifier for the VEDS server within the VUE system. |
| OK Sessions | The number of UDP mappings created by this Virtual Edge Device server that are in a successful state and processing MPEG packets. |
| Error Sessions | The number of UDP mappings created by this Virtual Edge Device server that are in a failed state and are not processing input MPEG content. |
| Status | Status of the Virtual Edge Device server. |
Add additional interface
- Click Config to view the available VEDS in the SDV screen.
- Click on
on far right of the desired VEDS server to view the drop-down
list. - Click Add Interface. This displays Add Additional Data
Plane Interface window. Enter the details as necessary:
Parameter Description Data Plane IP Choose the interface that receives the input SDV streams. This is the input interface from which VUE receives SDV streams for all mappings. Input Port Indicates the RPC input port number associated with this data plane IP entry and is only used when the SDV Operating Mode is RPC. Bandwidth (%) Indicates the percentage of the interface’s bandwidth which is dedicated to VEDS. Edge Group Name Enter the name that matches the Edge Device Input Group name on the SDV system. - Click Add to add the interface to the VEDS server or Cancel to close the window.
Configure/Modify VEDS server instance
- Click Config to view the list of available VEDS in the SDV screen.
- Click on on far right of the desired VEDS server to view the drop-down
list.
- Click Config/Modify. This displays Modify VEDS server window. Edit the details as necessary. You may delete or modify the data plane list. For more information, see Configure SDV for RPC.
- Enable RPC announce by selecting the Send RPC edge announce messages. This is applicable only for RPC.
- Click Submit to save the new values or Cancel to close the window.
Delete RTSP/RPC transport stream mapping
- Click Config to view the list of available VEDS in the SDV screen.
- Click on on far right of the desired VEDS server to view the drop-down
list.
- Click RTSP Teardown or RPC Teardown based on the SDV operating mode of the VEDS server.
- Click Teardown to confirm the deletion of transport stream mappings or Cancel to close the window.
