The SDM provides the ability to back up the configuration of a device. The device configuration includes the:
- Device parameters
- Device entitlements
- Configuration of the performance polls and the associated thresholds. This includes attributes include Enabled, Polling Interval, Threshold, and Re-arm values.
The device backup does not include events, alarms and the polled performance statistics for the device.
The device backup functionality includes operations to:
- List the device backups created on the SDM
- Create a backup of a device
- Remove a device backup
- Schedule a backup operation on a device
- Export a device backup
- Import a device backup
- Assign filter sets to devices for creation of asynchronous device backups
- Create, modify, and delete filters and filter sets for asynchronous backups
- Configure policy parameters for device backup operations
To access the Device Backup utility, select the sequence Configuration > Device Backup Management. The Device Backup Management page displays.
