The In-Channel Response graph on the PreEQ tab displays the channel correction data shown in the Tap Coefficients Graph, but plots it in the frequency domain. To show this data, an algorithm is applied to a scaled set of main tap coefficients, which are then transformed into decibel values. This expression of the frequency response data is useful to view the magnitude of the correction given to a modem by a CMTS. You can use the In-Channel Response graph to help identify potential problems resulting from these corrections.
