You can configure downstream SCTE 55-1 Out-of-Band Multiplexer (OOBM) in a VUE system by importing saved configuration data using a JSON file, or by manually entering data.
Each VUE OOB Multiplexer pipe supports reception of singlecast and multicast input streams to be multiplexed to TS outputs. Each OOB Multiplexer can be output as either a singlecast or multicast stream. These streams are expected to be received on the control IP (OAM&P) interface and passed through and out the data IP interface of the VUE Server (through IPv6 DEPI to an RPD). In addition, each OOB Multiplexer pipe can output a stream via IPv4 without DEPI to any downstream QPSK modulator.
Each VUE application server can support up to 100 OOBM pipes. Each OOBM pipe requires a unique input interface IP to be configured. To run multiple OOBM pipes on a VUE application server requires each OOBM input interface to be configured as VIP prior to configuring an OOBM pipe.
In addition to creating a VIP for each OOBM pipe, an OOBM license must be obtained for each OOBM TS.
